What Is the Red Doors Golf Outing, and How Did Carrington Lawn & Landscape Support It?
The Red Doors Golf Outing is an annual Madison event supporting Gilda’s Club, which provides free emotional care for people facing cancer. Carrington Lawn and Landscape participated as a Gold Sponsor, helping fund programs, counseling, and year-round support for local families.
At Carrington Lawn & Landscape, Madison community involvement is part of our identity. This is more than where we work; it’s where we live, raise families, and build lasting relationships. Giving back is one of the ways we stay connected to the people and neighborhoods we serve.
This fall, we were grateful to support Gilda’s Club Madison as a Gold Sponsor of the Red Doors Golf Outing, an event full of connection, generosity, and moments that remind you why community matters.
About the Red Doors Golf Outing
Held in the Madison/Middleton area each year, the Red Doors Golf Outing brings people together to ensure that anyone facing cancer has access to free emotional support and resources. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate this time around, the spirit of the day never wavered.
With the help of sponsors, golfers, and volunteers, the event raised $115,611.80, which directly funds:
- A full year of support for 95 Gilda’s Club members
- Over 3,100 hours of professionally led programs, groups, and counseling
Those numbers represent real families; neighbors who rely on Gilda’s Club for comfort, connection, and strength during some of the hardest seasons of their lives.
Why This Cause Matters to Our Team
Cancer has touched many of our team members and their loved ones, so supporting Gilda’s Club isn’t just a sponsorship for us—it’s personal. Their mission of making sure no one faces cancer alone is something we deeply respect and want to help further.
Representing our company at the outing were Sean Carrington, his wife, and our Business Office Director, Pat VanVoorhees, who spent the day connecting with other supporters out on the course. Even in rain jackets and wet shoes, the shared purpose made it a memorable experience.
Carrington Lawn & Landscape’s Role at the Event
As a Gold Sponsor, our contribution went directly toward Gilda’s Club’s free programs and services. The event was organized by an incredible team of staff and volunteers from Gilda’s Club and Nakoma Golf Club, and it was an honor to support an outing that brings so much good to the community.
Through our Carrington Cares initiative, we look for opportunities where our support can make a meaningful difference, especially for causes that touch so many people in our area.
