Weed Control for Ornamental Beds

This program utilizes monthly applications (generally eight per season) to control weed growth in non-turf areas, such as ornamental landscape beds, retaining walls, and concrete cracks. The initial application, a dry granular preemergent, is applied in early spring to help inhibit weed germination. Subsequent monthly applications of liquid herbicide target emerged weeds.
Lawn Insecticide Application

This seasonal application targets all turf insects and provides systemic control for future infestations. It is highly effective at eliminating existing grubs and preventing the laying of grub eggs in your turf areas. Our insecticide applications are scheduled during optimal weather conditions, typically in June, to ensure exceptional control.
Core Aeration & Overseeding

Typically performed in the late summer or fall, single-pass aeration can be upgraded to an overseeding package by coupling double or triple-pass aeration with spreading new grass seed. FAQ's

What should I do between visits to ensure the best results?

To help your lawn thrive, remove dog waste, mow at a healthy height, and water 1 to 1.5 inches per week as needed.

How long do I need to stay off the lawn after treatment, and do I need to keep my pets off?

For granular treatments, you don’t need to stay off the lawn. For liquid treatments, wait until it’s dry before walking on it. The re-entry time for pets is the same as for humans. Unless otherwise specified on the product label, it’s generally safe for pets to return by sundown the following day.

What happens if it rains right after an application?

Granular treatments: No worries! Rain actually helps activate the products by pushing them deeper into the turf.
Liquid treatments: We mix our liquids with an adjuvant to make sure they stick, even in wet conditions. Once dry, they’re rainproof. We try to avoid applying them just before heavy rain, though.

What time of day do you typically apply treatments, and do I need to be home?

Treatments are typically applied between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, depending on access to your lawn. You don’t need to be home during the application as long as we have access to the lawn.

How soon should I water after each treatment?

Liquid treatments: No watering is needed after these.
Granular treatments (fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides): Water them in as soon as possible to get them activated. For herbicides, water within 48 hours; for insecticides, water the same day.

How will this affect my existing garden and other plants?

We focus on turfgrass, so your garden and other plants won’t be affected. Our technicians are trained to avoid drift and off-target applications.

What if my lawn has more than one grass type?

Not a problem! Our products are safe for all common grass types in Wisconsin, including Bermuda, rye, fescue, and bluegrass.
