The reputation we have built is based on quality and reliability within all of our divisions. Your lawn and landscape are a reflection of us and we will treat it as if they were our own. Our approach is to build lasting, long-term relationships with our customers by installing and maintaining their unique landscapes. All of our customer's properties stand out from their neighbors and we would like the opportunity to do the same for yours.

Company History

Carrington Lawn Care was established by Sean Carrington in 1998 simply as a way to pay for tuition at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. By the end of the 1999 lawn season (and the start of a major corporate downsizing trend), it was becoming clear that a career in the lawn and landscape industry may be more rewarding than the traditional path of UW Business School graduates.

After studying small business, the estimated growth of the service industry and the projected growth of new homes in the Madison area, it was decided to grow the business and expand the services we offer. With the help of UW business management professors, a short and long term business plan was drafted. We are still following, yet constantly revising, our original plan.

Currently, we are in a controlled growth stage and are building long term relationships with our customers and suppliers. We are committed to expanding our services in each division, while modifying our current practices to best meet our customers needs.

We thank everyone who helped us get started as well as all our current customers and business associates. Special thanks go out to the UW-Madison Business School and especially Professor Randall Dunham. While not fully realizing it at the time, you provided us with not only the tools to have success, but also how to look at the success of a business by other means than purely economic (something easier said than done).
