Hardscape Restoration and Sealing

Revitalize old paver patios and modular block walls to look new again. During our restoration process debris is removed from the surface and joints of the pavers and block. Minor inconsistencies in the surface are compacted level, while major inconsistencies can require more significant base reconstruction. New jointing sand is then installed to prevent shifting and reduce weeds and pests in the paver joints.

specialized sealer croppedSealing is the final step of the restoration process, but it can also be performed on new hardscape installations. The process of sealing includes applying a liquid product to clean hardscape surfaces for the purposes of repelling stains, enhancing color, and prolonging the longevity of pavers and block. Hardscape sealing can be performed on both horizontal and vertical surfaces.

While almost every hardscape can benefit from restoration and sealing, this process may not be suitable if the hardscape has a faulty product or base. At Carrington Lawn & Landscape, we use only the highest quality hardscape materials and installation practices to ensure that your hardscape can look as good in 20 years as the day it was installed. Water Features and Ponds

Water is a life-sustaining element and critical to any comprehensive landscape design. The installation of a water feature not only adds year-round interest to your landscape, but also has financial, health, and environmental benefits:

  • Water features are a real property improvement, thus can increase the value of a property as much as any structural addition.
  • Soothing sights and sounds of a water feature contribute to a relaxing environment that can help lower blood pressure and relieve stress. Studies show that there are correlations between exposure to water features and increased physical and mental health.
  • Water features create habitats that attracts wildlife and increase biodiversity. Large water features can be designed specifically for fish and aquatic plants.
  • Whether you are looking to install a bubbling urn, a pondless waterfall, or a pond, we have the design and installation expertise to turn your ideas into reality. Contact us to set up a free consultation and learn how installing a water feature can enhance your landscape.

Rain Gardens

A rain garden is a beautiful landscape element that provides an array of benefits:
The filtration of runoff pollutants improves water quality and protects local rivers and streams. Rain gardens also improve the recharge of local groundwater and reduce stress on stormwater systems.
Rain gardens can be a solution to certain drainage issues.
Biodiversity is enhanced through construction of rain gardens. They are a habitat for wildlife, such as birds and butterflies, and they reduce pest insect populations.
Garden maintenance is reduced with rain gardens as plant species can survive both flooding and drought.

Irrigation Systems

Automatic, underground irrigation systems provide financial benefits and save you time by automating a portion of your landscape’s maintenance. Plantings, including turf grass, have value when they are alive – not when they are dead. Protect your investment by installing an irrigation system that will help ensure that your plantings receive the right amount of water on a regular basis. Conserve water and reduce your utility bill with proper irrigation.

Whether you desire to irrigate your entire landscape, or just your lawn, each of our irrigation or sprinkler systems are designed specifically to meet your watering needs. Every system includes an automatic control box with programmable timer, a rain sensor, and a backflow prevention device to protect your drinking water. Additional options include irrigation zones for remote hose bibs, auto-fill ponds, or any other water-source needs you may have. Contact us to set up a free consultation and learn how an irrigation system can improve your landscape, and your life. Temporary irrigations systems also available.
